Good day,
We all understand how difficult the world can be. Although with wonderful family and an amazing community, I could have never imagined I would ever resort to publicly asking for support (monetarily, emotionally, physically, or spiritually). Although today, we could use every type of support possible, even the power of prayer, we would be grateful.
Unfortunately, my only sister, who is over 60 years old (she’s older than me) and the strongest person I know, was working overtime at her school district custodian position and on her way to her regular district office custodial job when she was T-boned and ended up with a totaled vehicle and, most significantly, not able to move due to a cracked spine and crushed cervical vertebrae. They deem it degenerative, rendering her unable to continue her daily living activities. We are beyond blessed that she lived through the ordeal of the car crash. Unfortunately, more than six months later, she is worse off than the day of her profound transition into disability and retirement as she has lost her decades-long employment standing with the school district she worked for. Worker’s compensation has been denied at this point, and all regular income has stopped. The past decade drained her financially while she cared for her now deceased husband. With no income and no idea of any relief in the future, she has been left to resort to continual prayer. I do believe in the power of prayer, although I don’t want to see her miss payments towards her rent either, so I’ve come to the place I could never have imagined I’d be: asking for support to help get her a vehicle once she can get the appropriate doctor to help her be able to turn her head so she can drive again and make sure the bills get paid so she can focus on healing and not be as concerned with how she will survive.
My sister has been pure love all the days of her life, and now, after over six months of praying that she can heal in order to continue working, everything seems to be crumbling. I cannot sit and watch her lose her apartment also, so I’m here hoping you might relieve some of her burdens by supporting her fundraiser account.
