Eric Robinson Jr. is a dedicated student whose life took a challenging turn in 2020 when he was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, a chronic inflammatory bowel disease that affects the gastrointestinal tract. Since then, Eric has faced numerous health battles, including multiple hospitalizations and surgeries, all while maintaining his commitment to finishing his degree in electrical engineering.
The Struggle
Living with Crohn’s disease has meant enduring daily pain, fatigue, and the uncertainty of flare-ups. Despite these challenges, Eric continues to inspire those around him with his resilience and positive attitude. However, the financial burden of ongoing medical treatments, medications, and lost income has become overwhelming.
He now needs therapy to repair precious wounds ,that have been damaged from the Crohn’s. This is a vicious form of Crohn’s. But studies prove that certain treatments can help and close these wounds. This therapy is called Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
Insurance will not pay for it due to it not being an “approved FDA treatment for Crohn’s.”
After researching various places, we have found a place in Florida that the Mayo Clinic recommends, and they have the best “cash price” for this type of therapy.
We have been to several facilities and the prices range from $3,000 – $10,000 a treatment. Because of Eric’s worsening condition, he would need treatment for 8 weeks consecutive, Monday – Friday, for 2 hours a day.
North Florida Hyperbarics are willing to do the treatments for Eric for under $200 a day.
Your donation would help him get the treatment he needs plus pay for him to stay close to the treatment center. Besides a place to stay, he would need money for daily meals too.
God has blessed us so much thus far. We know God will bless us through this journey.
Anything will help!!!
