Hello everyone, I am here to try and get funding for my nephew, Nazyr Perry. On Memorial Day weekend, he was playing basketball at his local recreation center in his neighborhood when the unthinkable happened. Someone opened fire on his friends and him. My nephew was shot 4 times: neck, back, hand, and jaw. While his best friend, who was 16, was shot in the head and unfortunately passed away. It was his day off from the airport, and he just wanted to enjoy his day off. He’s a 22-year-old young man, never been in trouble, did nothing but work and take care of his mom. He is unable to work, and his mom’s job doesn’t do FMLA; she is a caregiver. She isn’t able to work due to having to be available and having a clear schedule to be hands-on with his care. We are unsure if he will walk due to being shot in the back, and his apartment is on the 2nd floor. We are asking for any assistance that can be given to help with medical expenses and help get his family in a lower-level home for his wheelchair.
