On the night of April 16th, Harold was riding home on I-74 near the Carlock exit when a dust cloud from the fields made visibility almost impossible. He rode through it, only to meet a deer in the middle of the road. The deer hit his left leg, leaving six fractures and sending debris across the highway. Somehow, Harold managed to keep his bike upright and get to the side of the road, but his injuries were serious. After being transferred to Springfield for a complex surgery, he’s been home recovering and off work ever since.
This isn’t Harold’s idea—he’s never one to ask for help. But as his brother, I know how many people care about him and how often he’s the first to step up for others. He’s not in dire straits, but I don’t want him to have to catch up or face this alone. We’re coming together to support Harold so he can focus on healing, not on bills or setbacks. Any help will make a difference as he gets back on his feet.
We’re also holding a benefit event on July 20th at Oz’z in Creve Coeur. For more details, visit www.standforharold.com
