Friends, Family, and Loved Ones,
On May 31, 2025, Andrew Lira was involved in a serious car accident that left him with a significant back injury and other health complications. His car was totaled, and he is currently in the hospital, fighting to recover. By his side every day and night are his devoted mother, Carla; his stepfather; his sisters; and his girlfriend.
If you don’t know Andrew personally, let me tell you, he’s the kind of person who lights up every room he walks into. His warmth, energy, and gentle spirit leave a lasting impression on everyone he meets. He’s always quick to offer a helping hand, and his smile is contagious. Andrew loves to run and listen to music, he has a vibrant, active soul full of life and kindness.
Now, Carla is facing every parent’s nightmare. Long days and nights at the hospital, the weight of financial strain from missed work and rising medical bills, and the emotional pain of watching her son suffer. Though Andrew is slowly healing and making progress, he continues to experience significant pain and has a long road ahead.
As his sisters, we’re doing all we can to support our family and ease some of this burden. Every dollar raised through this fundraiser will go directly toward Andrew’s medical bills, rehabilitation, transportation, meals, lost income, and other unexpected expenses.
We’re not a family that often asks for help — but right now, we truly need it.

El 31 de mayo de 2025, Andrew Lira sufrió un grave accidente automovilístico que le causó una lesión significativa en la espalda, además de otras complicaciones de salud. Su auto quedó totalmente destruido, y actualmente se encuentra en el hospital, luchando por recuperarse. A su lado, día y noche, están su madre, Carla, que lo cuida con devoción; su padrastro; sus hermanas; y su novia.
Si no conoces a Andrew personalmente, permíteme decirte que es el tipo de persona que ilumina cualquier lugar al que entra. Su calidez, energía y espíritu amable dejan una impresión duradera en todos los que lo conocen. Siempre está dispuesto a ayudar, y su sonrisa es contagiosa. A Andrew le encanta correr y escuchar música; tiene un alma vibrante, activa, llena de vida y bondad.
Ahora, Carla está enfrentando la peor pesadilla de cualquier madre: días y noches interminables en el hospital, la carga financiera por el trabajo que ha tenido que dejar y las crecientes cuentas médicas, además del dolor emocional de ver sufrir a su hijo. Aunque Andrew se está recuperando poco a poco y está haciendo progresos, sigue sintiendo un dolor considerable y le queda un largo camino por recorrer.
Como sus hermanas, estamos haciendo todo lo que está en nuestras manos para apoyar a nuestra familia y aliviar parte de esta carga. Cada dólar recaudado a través de esta campaña se destinará directamente a los gastos médicos de Andrew, su rehabilitación, transporte, comidas, ingresos perdidos y otros gastos inesperados.
