Hello, my name is Natasha Meddock, and I created this fundraiser with permission from Rae Brown’s family.
On June 2nd, Rae was admitted to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg due to a serious respiratory illness. Her condition quickly worsened, and on June 3rd, she had to be intubated to support her breathing. Then, on the evening of June 5th, Rae required emergency transport to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, where she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Rae and her husband are both Direct Support Professionals at Abilities, LLC in Warrensburg. Every day they care for individuals with developmental disabilities in our community. Rae is the kind of person who volunteers for holidays and is personally invested in the individuals she supports.
We are creating this fundraiser on Rae’s behalf to help cover her family’s living expenses during this incredibly difficult time. While Rae fights to recover, her husband is by her side—and unable to work. The funds raised will help with essential needs such as rent, groceries, utilities, and transportation to and from the hospital.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with others. Every bit of support is appreciated. Thank you for supporting them during this critical time.
