Hi! My name is Erika Baxter and I’m asking for help to afford a hearing aid for both of my ears. All funds will be used to pay for both hearing aids or surgeries needed!
A back story: I was born with a severe adult ear infection which led to tubes being put in my ears. The tubes popped out when I was a newborn, which led to me having a quarter-size hole in one ear and a nickel-size hole in the other. I’ve been diagnosed with conductive hearing loss.
I’ve had one surgery on my left ear as a kid that was paid out of pocket. I’ve just started seeing an ear doctor and found out my insurance will not cover a hearing aid, as they don’t take state insurance. I’m stuck paying out of pocket for hearing aids, but this is potentially life-changing as my hearing has been getting worse through the years.
I want to be able to keep hearing my children, and if I have another kid, hear my baby cry. Any help counts!!!
