Alice Fontenot Cancer Benefit:
The children and family members of Bro. Dennis Lee Fontenot & Mrs. Alice Lee Fontenot, is facilitating this fundraiser account to financially assist our parents since our mother has been diagnosed with stage three-c cancer that is invasive squamous cell carcinoma!
As many of you know, our parents have been in the ministry over the last thirty-five plus years, serving the Lord Jesus, as a bi-vocal pastor as well as on the farm with relatives!
Within their thirty-five years of ministry, many people and families have been touched by their ministry, so we humbly ask each to share this news as we all do our part as family members to support our parents!
On May 12, 2025, our parents and four daughters traveled to Willis Knighton Cancer Center in Shreveport, LA for mom’s surgical team to perform test on areas of lymph nodes for surgery on May 13, 2025 to remove a very large tumor and lymph nodes.
This specific cancer is very aggressive type of cancer! We returned to Shreveport on May 29th and 30th for follow up after surgery and consultations with the chemotherapy and radiology doctors as well! There is a treatment plan in place, however, due to the extreme conditions of the surgery and aftercare those treatments may not start until another four to five weeks! Once radiation and chemotherapy begin our parents and team of physicians have decided to receive therapy treatment at Willis Knighton Cancer Center in Shreveport, LA. Our parents will have to stay five days a week for at least six weeks or longer. There are other test to be done soon and these plans may change by those results!
We respectfully ask for privacy, but we do need all the prayers and if the Lord lays it on your heart please consider donating financially to assist us during this journey our parents are now facing! Our dad will have to stay with mom for the upcoming weeks, so he will not able to work his second job due to these circumstances.
