Im here…. doing what most people hate to do! Swallow my pride and ask for help…im a single mother of 2..I hadn’t been feeling well for quite some time and decided id better go to the Dr and get some annual tests…..labs..etc… in April I found out after tests…appts…and biopsies…that i had Thyroid Cancer…talk about freaking out! Yep. I did that! I missed work due to the appts, mental health days, being sick…
Then surgery…when you are the only parent in home and tend to run behind regularly ..emergencies are terrifying. Im just finding this out now! While I was forced to slow down. Life does not and im unfortunately unable to run after it like I normally do ! My final pathology came back with 2 lymph nodes tested…..both being positive for metastatic carcinoma…so il be headed in for another surgery to remove the rest of my thyroid and lymph nodes….then onto a radioactive iodine pill …then body scan to see if its spread to other nodes…..If you are able to help thank you, if not, thank you for taking the time to read and share!
