Kit’s Medical Mutual Aid Request

Hey, everyone –

I’m reaching out to ask for some help with unexpected medical bills from my recent surgery and some new unexpected medical problems and expenses. While I’m incredibly grateful that the procedure went well and I was able to have it done, I’ve been hit with a surprise post surgery bill for over $1,000 that I simply don’t have funds to cover. I’ve drained most of my savings between the surgery (what wasn’t covered by the grant I received), recent mutual aid for others, and am keeping just enough in savings to cover a deposit and expenses for an upcoming move.

To make matters more challenging, my central sleep apnea is getting pretty bad from the altitude here, and it’s affecting my blood more and more with time, worsening other health issues. I’m now needing to see a hematologist to confirm the sleep apnea is the problem (and that it’s not something else), do therapeutic phlebotomy on a regular basis, and need to get a CPAP machine.

Unfortunately, the cost of the CPAP machine and related supplies are not fully covered by my insurance, and I simply can’t afford it on top of my current medical expenses (medications, multiple doctors I have to see on a regular basis for various health issues, regular labs, etc.). Any contributions would be incredibly appreciated.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for considering a contribution.

In community and with much gratitude,

Kit

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
