Not that long ago, David Freeman was a robust, energetic husband, father, and black belt martial arts expert who delighted in assisting others in mastering the skills of self-defense.
Now he could use some assistance himself.
Since being diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney failure some years ago and placed on dialysis, Dave has survived a blood cancer scare, had a pacemaker installed, overcome a severe bout with COVID, and undergone successful cataract surgery. His health has continued to decline, and as anyone who has been on dialysis knows, it’s virtually impossible to maintain any type of job — especially given David’s accompanying conditions. His wife, Mara, has committed herself to caring for her beloved spouse.
While insurance and Medicare have covered most of the expenses, their out-of-pocket costs are spiraling out of control and will only soar higher as Dave underwent a recent blood transfusion and prepares to enter a rehab facility.
Can you find it in your heart to consider donating whatever you can to help this remarkable couple survive one of the most challenging periods in their lives? It will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
