As most of my friends and family know, it has been a very difficult year for myself and my family, from losing my mom and then almost losing my life in a very traumatic car accident. It is a long road still to recover from my fractured back and broken arm. Unfortunately, with that came not being able to work for almost 6 months. During that time, I have discovered I have a very bad disease in my gums, which is partly due to genetics and also in part to multiple health issues. This has caused my teeth to decay from the inside of the tooth out, which has caused me to have several teeth pulled as they became painful. Now the disease has progressed so rapidly that the remainder of my teeth need to all be extracted, and I would need a full mouth of implants. It has now become a major health concern that the disease can enter my bloodstream and can cause major problems as bad as a heart attack. It is no longer about the cosmetic side of dentistry; it is now a matter of having extremely bad health problems. I have been looking into the procedure and have had consultations on what needs to be done. Sooner than later, the remainder of the teeth I do still have will rot, and my gums will turn black (which unfortunately is already getting there rapidly). The procedure will range anywhere from $15,000-$40,000 depending on the dental center. Technology has gotten so progressive that I can have this whole procedure done in one day with an approximate healing period of three months. I would only be able to eat soft foods during this healing period, and when the swelling goes down, they will put in permanent implants and adjust so I can have the smile and a full healthy mouth of teeth again. As of now, I do not have much confidence in my smile, and I am slowly losing the ability to eat most things due to the disease. This is not a procedure that insurance covers, and it will have to be all out of pocket. I need this to save my health, to be able to smile proudly for family photos when my son gets married at the end of the year, and get back some semblance of a healthy mouth. This procedure will save my health and restore my self-confidence. Since I have not been able to work due to the car accident, I do not have the funds to take care of this very critical surgery on my own. I do not have the credit or income to even finance this. I am asking from the bottom of my heart if you can contribute or donate to make this happen as soon as is possible. Help me become the person I once was with a beautiful smile and make my dream of being the mother of the groom as happy a day as I had always dreamed it would be, with a confident smile to make memories that I will always treasure.
