Donate for Lynette’s Kyphoplasty Treatment

My name is Marcia Johnston. Many of you know my dear friend, Lynette ( Chef Par Excellence) Phillips. Having been friends with Lynette for over 30 years, she has been by my side, on many occasions, when I was in need. Now it’s my time to see if I can reciprocate.

Several weeks ago, Lynette was preparing to go to her daughter’s wedding in Maine. When loading her heavy luggage into her car at 5:00 AM, she fell backwards and seriously injured her back. Regardless of the pain, she continued on to the wedding.

Upon her return home, she immediately started her doctor’s appointments. The tests revealed that she had a compression fracture in her lower back where the entire disc was broken and had started to collapse. The procedure to repair this, and to relieve her of the intense pain, is Kyphoplasty. For reasons too complicated and confusing to explain, her insurance will not pay for this procedure.

Lynette has not been able to work for a month because of the debilitating pain. She has scheduled this procedure for Thursday, June 12. Her out-of-pocket expenses will be $7000. Should she not have the funds, the hospital will work out a payment plan for her. However, after she told me this, I knew I wanted to see if I could help her raise some of this money – therefore, I have turned to fundraiser.

Many of you know Lynette. We would SO appreciate if you would consider any donation amount to see if we can help her with this expense.

Thank you so very much for anything you feel that you can do!

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
