My name is Rashid and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my dear friend Hamid, who is fighting for his life in Afghanistan.
Hamid is a bright, kind, and hardworking young man who has dedicated his life to education. He graduated from both high school and university in Afghanistan, always dreaming of a better future for himself and his family. But for the past 10 years, Hamid has been silently battling excruciating pain caused by kidney failure.
Despite their humble means, Hamid’s family has shown extraordinary love and sacrifice. His father donated a kidney—but after one year, it tragically failed. Then, his mother bravely gave her kidney, but within just 24 hours, it failed as well due to a lack of proper medical care and financial resources.
Now, Hamid’s condition is dire. When he drinks water, it enters his bloodstream improperly, and he must undergo dialysis every two days to remove the excess water from his blood. Each dialysis session costs around $60—a devastating amount for a family that has already sold everything they owned just to keep him alive. They are now in serious debt and completely out of options.
We are asking for your help—no matter how small—to give Hamid a chance at life. Every dollar you donate goes directly to his urgent medical care and ongoing dialysis treatments. Your support could help relieve his suffering and allow him to smile again, even if just for one day.
Please, for the sake of humanity, consider helping Hamid. Together, we can give him hope, dignity, and a chance at a future.
The goal of this fundraiser is to help cover the cost of:
Regular dialysis sessions to keep Hamid stable
A kidney transplant from a willing donor
The surgery and medical care needed to safely install the new kidney
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
