Dear Family and Friends,
If you’ve found your way to this site, then you know the story of my 20-month medical journey: the sepsis that should have killed me; the learning to walk again; the 10 months on a wound vacuum; the slow decline in kidney function; the massive weight loss; and the side effects of harsh medications. Until this point, I have been able to manage medical bills with little to no assistance because I had reserved funds. However, the recent diagnosis of end stage renal disease has changed the financial situation I will face in the next few months. My health is forcing me into retirement on disability, and I will begin the process of testing for a kidney transplant. I am requesting your support to cover transplant preparation costs that will not be covered by my insurance and other basic medical necessities I will need until my retirement funds begin to arrive. Please know that I will wisely spend every dollar donated and will be happy to tell you how your donation is being spent if you wish to know. I’m also asking for your prayers and good wishes. I need as much positivity as possible as this journey continues. Thank you so much!
