My name is Heng, and I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my lifelong friend, Sherryl.
Just recently, Sherryl was rushed to the ER with severe abdominal pain, only to receive the devastating diagnosis of locally advanced, metastatic pancreatic cancer. The news came as a complete shock — and due to the aggressive nature of the disease, she is no longer able to work.
Sherryl is a devoted wife to her husband, Tim, and a loving mother to their two daughters, ages 13 and 16. Both Sherryl and Tim have served our country with honor — Sherryl as a Navy corpsman for 14 years and Tim for 24 years. When Sherryl enlisted, her family moved with her to Virginia to support her career and service.
While Sherryl has a strong support system of friends and loved ones, the financial burden of this unexpected and urgent diagnosis is overwhelming. This fundraiser is meant to help cover medical expenses, daily living costs, and to provide support as they navigate this challenging journey. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.
