Hi, my name is Oliver. I’m raising funds for Elian. I am his aide and also his friend. Elian needs a new wheelchair to help with his mobility and general health. He has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a genetic disorder, and a spinal cord injury caused by Cranio-Cervical Instability (from EDS) after a car accident. His current chair was built before the accident and doesn’t have enoughj support for his back and neck, and is too large, so he dislocates his shoulders when pushing himself. The new chair will be fitted to him and has hand rims he can push with limited hand function. The cushions will no longer be giving him pressure sores. There will be a head cushion that will keep his neck stable, and positioning belts that keep him from getting painful muscle spasms.
